The
amount of information a person takes in each day is colossal. The brain
processes it all and decides what it wishes to discard and what it sees
relevant to retain.

One quote that my mind retained, and this was long ago, was -
You
can't connect the dots looking forward you can only connect them
looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow
connect in your future. You have to trust in something: your gut,
destiny, life, karma, whatever. Because believing that the dots will
connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart,
even when it leads you off the well worn path.
Those words were relevant to me then.
And they will always stay relevant. For they tell you that its okay if not everything happening right now makes sense. It eventually will. But till it does, you should not give up.
Keep your faith. Hang in there. Breathe. Do.
That quote was one of Steve Jobs’. He said some very meaningful things. And the beauty of it all was - it was everyday conversation to him, he was simply speaking from the heart! He had an intrinsic meaningful aesthetic sense that was as evident in things he said as it was in the products he put forth.
He passed away on Oct 5th, at the age of 56. It was clear that the news had hit people hard - the sheer number of RIPs and the quotes from things he had said was overwhelming. I do not know of another businessman whose consumers - people who pay to buy his products, would get so sentimental over him.
Well, your dots are all connected Mr. Jobs, and it’s a beautiful picture you’ve made!
Rest in Peace!
